A brief and sinthetic interview in which the father of  international ambient music explains how the idea of Music For Airports was born and, at once, the beginning of his career in producing music for public spaces..

 "... Whenever you go into an airport or an airplane, they always play this very happy music, which is sort of saying: 'You're not going to die, there's not going to be an accident, don't worry!' And, I thought, that was really the wrong way around, I thought that it would be much better to have music that said: 'Well, if you die, it doesn't really matter.' You know. So I wanted to create a different feeling, that you were sort of suspended in the Universe and your life or death wasn't so important. ..."

 Una breve e sintetica intevista in cui il padre  della musica ambient internazionale racconta come è nata l'idea di Music For Airports e, allo stesso tempo, l'inizio della sua carriera di produttore di musica per gli spazi  pubblici.

"... Ogni volta che si va in un aeroporto o si sale su un aereo, si ascolta sempre questa musica molto allegra, che è come dire :" non morirari, non ci sarà un incidente, non ti preoccupare!". E, ho pensato, che era sbagliato, ho pensato che sarebbe stato molto meglio avere musica che dicesse:" Bene, se muori, non importa!".Così ho voluto generare una sensazione diversa, l'essere in qualche modo sospesi nell' Universo così da  non curarsi della vita e della morte..."
