To connect the new terminals of the Detroit Metro Airport (which is already beautiful), a new tunnel has been built. What's amazing is that as you walk through it, music is played and the walls of the tunnel react to the music with a fantastic light show. This is a way to celebrate and show to visitors the very tight bound which links Detroit to techno and experimental electronic music. Once remembered has the city of Fordism and of the car industry in general , Detroit has been interested by a process of change of his identity which has completely modified the social perception and the collective imaginary linked to the city. If in the past naming Detroit evoked General Motors and its plants, now it recalls to mind Jeff Mills  and the pioneers of the techno and rave scene as it has been shown in the documentary High tech soul- the creation of techno Music. Then the tunnel far from being just a clear and entertaing path for the visitor, acquires the valuee of a simbol, indicating the transition in which the city is caught.

Per connettere il nuovo terminal del Detroit Metro Airport , è stato costruito un nuovo tunnel. Ciò che lo rende strabiliante è che mentre lo si attraversa viene diffusa della musica e le pareti del tunnel reagiscono ai suoni con un fantastico light show. In questo modo viene celebrato e mostrato ai visitatori il legame stretto che unisce Detroit alla musica elettronica techno e sperimentale. Un tempo ricordata come la città del fordismo e dell'industria dell'auto, Detroit ha subito un un cambiamento della sua identità che ha completamente modificato la percezione sociale e l'immaginario collettivo legato alla città. In passato nominare Detroit evocava la general Motors e i suoi stabilimenti, ora invece richiama alla mente Jeff Mills e tutti gli altri dj pionieri della scena rave e techno, così come viene messo in luce nel documentario High tech soul-the creation of techno music. In ques'ottica il tunnel lungi dall'esserel solo un percorso di intrattenimento per il visitatore, acquisisce il valore di un simbolo, indicativo della transizione in cui la città stessa è coinvolta
